This recipe is meant to complement "Where Are the Cookies" which was originally posted on 7/24/13. You can find that post in the July 2013 archives.
½ cup chopped nuts
1 box brown sugar
2/3 c vegetable oil
2 ¾ c flour
2 ½ tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
2 cups any combination baking chips (semi-sweet, milk, and white chocolate, butterscotch, etc.) Do not overbake.
1. Put the nuts in a small shallow pan; toast at 325 for 5-7 minutes. Set aside to cool.
2. Increase heat to 375.
3. Mix together the sugar, eggs, and oil until well blended. Add the dry ingredients and stir just until blended. Stir in the nuts and chips.
4. Spread on an ungreased 15 x 10 cookie sheet with 1 inch high sides. Bake 15 minutes. Remove from the oven promptly and cool. Do not overbake.
